Features of LinkBuds Open
The LinkBuds Open from Sony are open, fully wireless earphones.
Equipped with a ring-type driver unit with the centre of the diaphragm open, the earbuds allow users to enjoy conversations, music and other content while naturally hearing surrounding sounds and their own voice without blocking their ears.
They feature a pressure-free wearing feel and are compact and lightweight, so they are less tiring to wear for long periods of time.
Weighing approximately 5.1 g (per ear), they feature a soft fitting supporter to reduce pressure on the ear for a stable fit.
In terms of sound quality, the newly developed 11 mm diameter ring-type driver unit and ‘Integrated Processor V2’ have improved sound pressure in the mid- and bass-range compared to previous products.
It also features DSEE, which reproduces compressed sound sources with a spacious sound close to the original.
Other features include an adaptive volume control function that automatically adjusts the playback volume according to the ambient noise level, such as in quiet or noisy areas.
The Bluetooth version is 5.3, with supported profiles A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, TMAP, CSIP, MCP, VCP and CCP, and supported codecs SBC, AAC and LC3.
Battery life is up to 8 hours with the earphones alone and up to 22 hours with the charging case.
